Our slope stabilization process involves state-of-the-art techniques to reinforce and secure unstable slopes. We begin by applying a thick layer of shotcrete – wet sprayed concrete – directly onto the slope face. This initial stabilizing layer is followed by securing high-strength wire mesh with rock nails or anchors. A final sturdy shotcrete layer is then applied, encapsulating the reinforcement.
Where needed, our experts drill into the slope to install grouted soil nails, rock anchors, or rock bolts. These reinforcement elements deftly transfer loads and prevent soil movement. Deep Excavation
The ability to construct multi-level basements is a growing need, especially for maximizing space in urban areas. MFB Geotech has been at the forefront of introducing modern deep excavation methods that enable this type of vertical development across India.
Our deep excavation techniques allow for the construction of underground structures like metro tunnels and stations, underpasses, crossings, and multi-level parking facilities. Unlike conventional top-down methods which are labor and cost intensive, our deep excavation process utilizes advanced shoring, underpinning, and earth retention solutions, like:
We stabilize excavations and enhance soil bearing capacities by installing ground anchors – tension cables or rods connected to bearing plates. These durable systems prevent slope erosion and failures.
Pile anchors are a variation using high-capacity anchors fixed to piles rather than bearing plates.
MFB’s soil nailing capabilities allow for constructing top-down retaining walls economically. We drill and grout steel tendons into the soil mass, essentially creating a reinforced soil structure similar to a gravity wall. Shotcrete or architectural facings can then be applied.
In rock formations, we stabilize excavations by installing high-strength anchors or long bolts that transfer loads deeper into the stable interior rock mass.
